JoomlaForDesigners.com
Our small set back,
Firstly, I want to apologise to all of those who were waiting for me to contact them regarding a spot in the Pilot Program.
I want to explain my reasons.
Firstly, it is obvious that I Will be teaching my business system to all those who come on board. So in saying that I have a few main principles involved as a foundation.
Faith Computing PTY LTD Business Principles
Principle 1. Always hold your integrity high, if you give your word that you will do something, do it - even if you make a loss - otherwise your integrity is being sold out at a price.... how high or low that price gets matters not comparing it with the loss of your integrity. As a part of that - NEVER EVER lie to a client, even if you think it may get you out of trouble or you made a mistake, don't cover it up - be transparent and honest with your failings - your clients will connect better with you & you will build a solid foundation of trust with them which is needed for long term business relationships.
Principle 2. Always show your clients value upfront as well as continued value, don't get their money and then leave them for dead once the project is over. Even if you need to charge them more as a result of your continued support (which you should really calculate before launching) it matters not compared to their need for quality support in your field of knowledge. If they need updates done, ask them to document them, email them and send you any images that go along with the updates.
Principle 3. Ensure you lay a good solid foundation and workflow for your business, otherwise you may get some awesome marketing done, have 100 new clients on board in the first month & then your 'system' of business, communication or even technology may let you down and drive your company name into the dirt. So Study Study Study until you are sure you have the right foundation.
The Latest Set back
So, now that you all have a little more insight into how we do business I will explain our latest set back.
Due to an expansion in our team here, I have had to upgrade our hosting, internet bandwidth and more in order to keep everything running smoothly. Up until now I have been doing all of the technical, now I have a new systems administrator working with us to runt he technical I am in the middle of handing the systems to him to run, thankfully he has a LOT more knowledge in his field then I do, so he is worth his weight in Gold. I also just signed a contract with a Client support team who will be looking after simple client issues through a 'Live Chat' Module on the front page of our websites as well as a ticketing system for more intense problems.
I have a client who I cannot name to whom I promised I would move their website and system over to our hosting, this is in the middle if being done right now. So I must watch this more carefully in order to ensure a smooth transition and no Data Loss also.
Our Team is growing now more and more, the work load is getting bigger and also being taken out of my hands personally!
This gives me the confidence to move forward with Joomla For Designers and really pour my heart and soul into this project of mine.
So, in saying all of that please stand by for a launch date for the pilot program. I wont be throwing my work on this project down the drain or the hopes of those who wish to learn from me & break free of the 'Employment trap" as I call it.
I will keep you posted!
Regards,
Scott Nailon
